7-Day Challenge

Workout Power Week Together

7 days, 7 different workout styles — find what you both love as a team

7 days. One goal. Together.

Start Our Workout Power Week Together
You both want to be more active. You've probably said it to each other more than once — "we should work out more." But going alone is demotivating, the gym feels like a chore, and by the time you've decided what to do, it's too late and Netflix wins. The real problem isn't a lack of desire — it's the absence of a system you both enjoy. This week, you try a different workout style every day together. No pressure, no performance goals, just movement — and by day 7 you'll know exactly what you actually want to do together long-term.

Your 7-Day
Journey

See exactly what happens — day by day.

Before you can build a fitness routine you'll actually keep, you need to know where you're both starting from. Honest, non-judgmental assessment sets the foundation for a real week of movement.

Mini-task Sit down together and answer these three questions: How many times did we move intentionally last week? What's our biggest barrier to regular exercise? If we could only do one physical activity for the rest of our lives, what would it be? Set one shared goal for this week — something achievable, like completing all 7 days. 15 min

Walking is the most underrated form of exercise — accessible, free, low-impact, and proven to reduce stress and improve mood. The "no phones" rule turns it into quality time too.

Mini-task Go for a 30-minute walk together with no phones. You can talk, stay quiet, listen to your surroundings — but no scrolling, no podcasts, no maps. Pick a direction and walk. Notice what comes up when you remove distractions. This counts as a real workout. 30 min

High-Intensity Interval Training is one of the most time-efficient workouts available. 20 minutes burns more than an hour of slow walking. At home, together, with no equipment needed.

Mini-task Find a 20-minute beginner HIIT video on YouTube (search "beginner couples HIIT" or "20 minute beginner HIIT home"). Do it together in your living room. It will probably hurt a little — that's fine. Laugh when you can't keep up, encourage each other when it gets hard. 25 min

Yoga isn't just for the already-flexible. It builds strength, improves breathing, reduces cortisol, and on a rest-heavy week is the perfect counterbalance to yesterday's intensity. Many couples find this becomes their favourite day.

Mini-task Find a 30-minute beginner yoga video on YouTube (search "30 minute beginner yoga couple" or "morning yoga flow"). Roll out any blanket or towel as your mat, do it side by side. Focus on breathing and notice where tension lives in your body. 35 min

Bodyweight strength training needs zero equipment and builds real, functional strength. Push-ups, squats, lunges, planks — your own bodyweight is enough to make you feel it tomorrow.

Mini-task Do 3 rounds of this simple circuit together: 10 squats, 8 push-ups (knees OK), 20-second plank, 10 lunges each leg. Rest 60 seconds between rounds. Count your reps, compare, and see who finishes each round first. Keep it competitive but fun. 25 min

Dance workouts are genuinely fun — which is exactly why people keep coming back to them. Cardio dance burns as many calories as a run and raises your mood in ways running usually doesn't.

Mini-task Search YouTube for a "Zumba beginners home" or "cardio dance workout 20 minutes" video and do it together in the living room. No skill required. The rule: if one of you feels silly, the other has to feel equally silly. That's the point. 25 min

The real value of this week isn't the workout you did today — it's the data you've collected about what you both actually enjoy. Today you turn that into a sustainable plan.

Mini-task Rate each of this week's workout styles from 1-10 together. Identify your top 2 shared favourites. Then build a 4-week plan: which two workouts will you do each week, on which days? Write it down. The couple who plans together, moves together. 20 min

What You’ll Both Walk
Away With

Real results. Not just feelings.

🏋️

A Fitness Routine You'll Actually Keep

By day 7 you've tried 6 different movement styles and know what you both enjoy. That knowledge builds a sustainable routine — not one you abandon in two weeks.

💪

Feeling Stronger Together

Physical activity shared is more effective and more enjoyable. You push each other slightly further than you'd go alone, and you celebrate the hard days together.

🎯

Discovered Your Shared Workout Style

HIIT? Yoga? Dance? Walking? After 7 days you both know what works. No more "what should we do?" paralysis — you have a shared answer.

🤝

Accountability Structure in Place

Working out together creates a natural accountability loop. You can't skip when your partner is lacing up their shoes. The habit forms faster when it's shared.

Why This Works Better Than
Without Support

Doing It Alone
With CHAIVARA
× You skip the gym session because there's no one waiting for you. It happens once, then it's a pattern.
Your partner is already changed and ready. You can't back out without a conversation. The session happens.
× You try a new workout style once, feel awkward, and never go back because the memory is just you struggling.
You try it together, laugh at the awkward parts, and the memory is you two surviving something silly together.
× You never settle on a consistent routine because you're the only one who has to live with the decision.
You find your shared favourite and build a plan together — both invested, both showing up.
× Fitness feels like something you do despite your relationship, stealing time from each other.
Fitness becomes something you do because of your relationship — movement is connection time.

Questions About
This Challenge

That's completely normal and it doesn't matter as much as you think. For most of this week's workouts — yoga, walking, dance, bodyweight circuits — you can each go at your own pace while doing the same activity. The point isn't to perform at the same level, it's to move together. The fitter partner slows down slightly, the less fit partner challenges themselves slightly more. Both benefit.

No equipment required — that's by design. Every workout in this challenge can be done in a living room with no gear at all. A yoga mat is nice but a folded blanket works. Trainers help for the HIIT day but bare feet are fine too. We kept it equipment-free so the only barrier is deciding to start.

Excellent data. Knowing what you don't enjoy is just as valuable as knowing what you do. If you both dread the HIIT day, you've learned that HIIT isn't your shared sport — and you won't waste money on a gym membership built around it. The week is designed to surface your genuine preferences, not to push you into something that doesn't fit.

Yes — entirely. Every day is designed for people who have little or no current fitness routine. The intensities are beginner-level, the videos we recommend are all labelled "beginner", and the non-exercise days (walking, yoga, reflection) are accessible regardless of fitness level. The only requirement is willingness to move.

This Is Made
for You Both If…

  • You keep starting fitness routines but never stick to them beyond the first week
  • You both want to do sport together but can't agree on what or never get round to starting
  • One of you is more active and wants to bring the other along without pressure
  • You want something that improves your health and your relationship at the same time

Voices From
Our Community

“We've tried "let's work out together" so many times and it always ended in someone being bored or someone feeling like they were slowing the other down. This challenge was different because there was a clear structure and no pressure. We found out on day 4 that yoga is actually our thing. We do it every Sunday morning now.”

“The dance day was the highlight. We were both terrible and we haven't laughed that much in months. Ended up doing another Zumba video the next week just because it felt so good. Movement stopped feeling like work.”

“I'm significantly fitter than my partner and I was worried this would feel too easy. It wasn't — because the point wasn't the workout, it was doing it side by side. Watching her get through the HIIT day was honestly more motivating than any personal best I've hit.”
